By now, most people have heard of the Oculus Rift headset and its ability to deliver a full-body, virtual reality experience.
But how about the HTC Vive?
You know, the one with a camera that lets you actually look through the virtual environment?
Well, that’s a whole different ball game, according to a new report from tech blog TechRadar.
According to the article, the HTC headset is only capable of a virtual environment that you can see through, and the HTC VIVE headset can do something even more immersive, albeit for a fraction of the price.
The report also claims that the VR headset from Valve can actually simulate a full head-mounted display, allowing you to “feel” as if you are actually looking through a virtual space.
The article goes on to say that there’s currently no VR headset that can actually do all of these things, but it is possible that HTC is looking at the possibility of bringing a VR headset to the market.
