Online movie streaming service Netflix is about to make a big splash.
The company is set to launch a service that will let people stream all of its movies online for free.
Netflix says it will provide a streaming service that is comparable to what it offers on television and lets people watch movies online at their own pace.
“We are announcing today that we are launching the first-ever Netflix Instant Video,” said a Netflix spokeswoman in a statement.
“This is the first time we are enabling users to access all of our movies for free, and we are thrilled to provide this service to our members and customers.”
Netflix says users can use the service to stream up to 30 movies from the company’s library, or to buy them digitally.
The service will also allow users to purchase movies on Netflix and other streaming services.
Netflix says it is offering a service for “family entertainment,” “science fiction,” and “romance” as well as some films that feature gay characters.
It’s not clear if the service will include all of the company and other movies.
